ECON200 Principles of Micro-Economics; (4 credits) Grade Method: REG/P-F/AUD. CORE Behavioral and Social Science (SB) Course. USP Distributive Studies Area D: Social and Behavioral Sciences Course.
Prerequisite: MATH 110 or placement in MATH 115 or above. It is recommended that students complete ECON 200 before taking ECON 201. Credit will be granted for only one of the following: ECON 200 or ECON 203. Formerly ECON 203. This course emphasizes the behavior of individual consumers and business firms, problems of international trade and finance, the distribution of income, policies for eliminating poverty and discrimination, the problems of environmental pollution, and the impact of different market structures upon economic activity.
