FOLA118G Intermediate Foreign Languages I: Intermediate Modern Greek; (3 credits) Grade Method: REG/P-F/AUD. Not open for credit to native speakers. --------------------------------------------SELF-INSTRUCTIONAL LANGUAGE PROGRAM -------------------------------------------- The program is essentially self-instructional. The student supplies a blank tape and, in return, receives a recorded tape with the week's lesson. There is also a manual designed for self-instruction which the student is required to purchase. A native speaking tutor will be assigned to drill the student in the material learned from the tape and the accompanying manual. Every effort will be made to arrange drill sessions at times suitable to all participants in the program. Attendance at drill sessions is required of all students. There will be one final examination administered by a qualified examiner appointed by the director. The entire semester's grade will derive from this examination. Enrollment in the program is strictly limited. Application forms available in JMZ 1105. Mandatory orientation and scheduling meeting will be held at beginning of semester.
