Prerequisite: Permission of the College of Arts and Humanities. Restricted to students that have earned 12 credits at UM; 2.5 GPA. On-campus internships cannot be taken for credit through ARHU 286 ("on-campus" includes both the University of Maryland and other college campuses). For ARHU majors only. Designed for ARHU students who wish to complete an internship in one of the academic fields covered within the College of Arts and Humanities.

ARHU298J Special Problems in Arts and Humanities: Cross Cultural Perspectives in Poetry and Fiction; (3 credits) Grade Method: REG/P-F/AUD.
Students will read great poems and stories from across cultures and engage in related writing exercises. Students will share their own original writing in a supportive workshop setting, discover new approaches to revision, and collectively produce a literary journal during the final week of class.

Restricted to ARHU students and permission of department is required. Technical skills and pedagogical basics needed to support faculty uses of technology in the classroom. Web publishing, academic website development, electronic presentation tools, electronic discussion group facilitation, and creating/using digitized media.
