Credit will be granted for only one of the following: KNES200 or KNES289M. Formerly KNES289M. An overview of kinesiology, the interdisciplinary study of physical activity. Examines human motor behavior and its cultural forms such as sport from the physiological, psychological, sociological, historical, philosophical, and biomechanical perspectives. Students learn about exercise physiology, biomechanics, sports psychology, movement sciences and sports management. Discover career options that are available to kinesiologists, including physical therapy, physical education, fitness training and sports management, and learn how researchers study athletes, patients who have movement difficulties, infants and young children who are learning to move, sport organizations and much more.
